I’m Nate, Prince of Listenstein and I love lists. I don’t just mean to-do lists or shopping lists.
I mean that at the age of 11, I had a friends list of 50+ people that I updated daily and brought into school to show people where they were. I mean that, when I was even younger than that, my parents banned me from having a notepad in the living room, because when I watched a film, I would make a tally of how many scenes each character appeared in. I mean that, at my wedding, my best man told the guests all of this and then told them they had probably all featured on one of my lists, even if I’d not met them before. He was right.
For some reason, my natural tendency in almost any scenario is to make a list and then probably rank the objects of the list on one thing or another. So I thought I’d share some of those lists here and hopefully they will inform you or humour you or do something else to you. Enjoy.
